Since
I've been asked a couple of times which affiliate programs
pay well, I guess it'll be easiest for me to just start
a thread and refer people to it.
For those who don't know, an affiliate program is a
"pay per action" kind of advertising for websites, ie
they only pay you if someone pays to join a service,
although a few pay for each lead, after following specific
links from their site to yours.
(Other forms of online advertising are "pay per click"
where you get paid for each visitor you send to a site,
and "pay per impression" which pays you a set amount
per 1000 banner ads shown. Quite frankly, I make much
more through affiliate ads than I do through the other
forms, since ad rates have fallen through the toilet
in the past year and a half.)
I'm going to be honest. With the sites I have listed
here, I do get a small percentage if someone signs up
"under" me. This will not affect how much you can earn.
And since I'm doing the grunt work and listing these
sites for you, the least you can do is send a little
bit my way every month. Help a starving webmaster buy
a pizza. ;)
